How to Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 on Windows with Cinject

Windows users, rejoice! You can now jailbreak Phone 4S on Windows. Same goes for iPad 2 users. iPhone Dev Team have now rolled out cinject 0.4.3, a command line based tool that will let you jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 on Windows as well as on Mac.

Since this is a command line tool, it requires a series of commands that you need to execute. Here is our Cinject guide to help you jailbreak your A5 device using cinject 0.4.3:

Cinject Tutorial: How to Jailbreak 4S, iPad 2 on Windows

Step 1: Download cinject_0.4.3.zip

Step 2: Extract the downloaded zip file on your system drive (its drive C: by default)

Step 3: Launch the command prompt on Windows or Terminal on Mac:

Step 4: In Command prompt, execute following commands, one by one:

  1. CD C:\cinject_0.4.3
  2. cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig
  3. cinject.exe -j payloads
  4. cinject.exe –w

After you execute 2nd command, a Profile prompt will appear on your device. Tap on Install and then on Next, before you execute other 2 commands.

Step 5: On your device, navigate to Settings > Network > VPN and turn the VPN setting on.

Step 6: Your device will reboot. In the meantime, some errors will appear on Command prompt. You can ignore them.

Step 7: You can now find Cydia installed on your device.

Jailbreak is done! Now head over to Cydia and install some cool tweaks and apps.
